Trevor John Barsby was born on 16/01/64.
He joined the club during the 1978/79 season in the Under 18 Grade and played in seven matches and the final that season.
The next season, 1979/80 was also spent in Under 18's winning the Premiership and scoring his first century for the club in the final.
At the age of 16 in the 1980/81 season, Trevor was selected in 1st. Grade after captaining the Under 18's for the majority of the season.
The 1982/83 season, Trevor scored his maiden 1st Grade century and represented Queensland in the Under 19 team.
1983/84 and 1984/85 saw selection in the Queensland Colts team.
In 1984/85 Trevor scored 218 not out and shared in a club record 4th wicket stand of 284 (unfinished) and made his debut for Queensland.
In 1986/87 he captained the 1st Grade side, set a new 1st Grade Aggregate record of 659 runs and set a new highest score of 221.
1987/88 saw him set a new 1st Grade Average record of 74.38 while in 1989/90, he bettered his 1st Grade Aggregate record with 697 runs.
1990/91 saw the 1st Grade win the Gabba Sporting Products/FAI Trophy and in 1991/92 the Metway Cup Super League One Day Competitions.
Since 1980, Trevor has scored 4989 1st Grade runs at 45.77 including a club record of 12 centuries and for Queensland he has played 66 First Class matches scoring 3805 runs at 33.97 with 8 centuries and not forgetting his 1 First Class wicket.
As well as being a willing worker at all club activities, such as pub raffles, club functions and working bees throughout his association with the club, Trevor was Executive Committee Member of the Club from 1988 to 1992.
In 1991/92 he was President of the newly formed Sandgate-Redcliffe Junior Committee which saw 78 junior members join the Club. This grew to 96 members in 1992/93 and now the Club has a sound junior base playing at Club headquarters.
On behalf of the Management Committee, Trevor was recommended for Life Membership.
